Botox & Fillers

Botox – Anti-wrinkle injections

Anti-wrinkle injections block the nerve receptors of the muscles that cause movement and lines on your face. In effect they prevent the muscle contraction which stops wrinkles from forming, and smooth out areas giving a younger, fresher look
When injected, this relaxes muscles, preventing skin from creasing and causing wrinkles. It’s effective for “expression lines”, such as frown and surprise lines on the forehead and crow’s feet around the eyes, and “turkey neck” – lines on the neck.

It can also be used to treat a condition called hyperhydrosis which when a person experiences excessive sweating. When injected in the underarms it will prevent sweating for 9-12 months.

Fillers

Dermal Fillers treatment involves injecting a hyaluronic acid based filler under the skin with a fine needle to enhance facial features and plump and fill lines, grooves or sunken areas. Hyaluronic acid fillers work by not only plumping the skin directly but also trapping water within the area creating a youthful, fresher look.

Fillers are used to treat a range of skin concerns, including lack of volume and shallow to deep wrinkles and folds, such as smile, marionette, those on the corners of the mouth, chin, cheek, nose, undereyes, lips and jawline.

Nose filler – Non-surgical Rhinoplasty

Instead of undergoing extensive surgery and anaesthesia to get your dream nose, this can be achieved with hyaluronic acid filler within 15 mins and a fraction of the cost.

Nose filler is injected into the midline, dorsal hump and tip smooth out bumps, and create a shape that you are much more confident with. The results are best seen in those who have a crooked nose, bulbous tip, those who have a bump, or a wider nose seeking a narrower bridge.

It provides a safe excellent alternative to surgery, in which injection of Dermal fillers are used to reshape the nose. The fillers are temporary in that they will last up to 12 months, and avoid the need of undergoing invasive surgery. Within 15 minutes, a lifetime’s worth of dissatisfaction can be transformed into confidence and happiness in one’s appearance.

Is it painful?

The nerve supply to the nose is vast. Injecting filler to the bridge of the nose is uncomfortable, however, when treating the tip of the nose can be sharp. Local anaesthetic can be applied to the area.

Is it safe?

Non-surgical rhinoplasty is generally very safe, providing the injector has knowledge of the anatomy of the nose. The nose especially is a highly vascular area, and it is important for the injector to be very aware of this, to prevent any serious complications that can arise. It is a quick procedure, avoids the need for surgery and general anaesthesia. There is also little to no recovery time needed.

Tear troughs

Tired looking eyes? Sunken, dark circles?

As we age, due to increasing volume loss and laxity of the tissue in the lower eyelid, there is increasing hollowness and sunken eye look appearance that begins to emerge.
Injecting a small amount of filler under the eyes is an effective way of non-surgically filling in the dark hollows under your eyes. Within 15 minutes, using a low-density filler injected with a micro-cannula follow the dark circles under your eyes instantly refreshing and rejuvenating your appearance. It is important this placed in anatomically the correct place, as injected in the wrong place, or with the wrong filler, it can make the eyes look puffy, and worse than prior to treatment.

What type of filler is used?

A low density filler such as Intraline 1 or volbella is used. This is most suitable as it does not attract water molecules, and therefore will not cause further puffiness under the eyes as other fillers may do.

What to expect after treatment?

Redness, swelling and bruising can be expected post treatment. This can last up to two weeks. This can be reduced by applying ice to the area.

Lip Fillers

These types of dermal fillers are sometimes called “hyaluronic acid fillers” which are injected into your lips to add volume, create shape and make the lips look plump and fuller, yet natural.

How long do lip fillers last?

The amount of lip filler needed in a procedure and the length of time it lasts depends on the individual. The hyaluronic acid fillers typically tend to last between four and six months.

However if you’re thinner, you metabolise faster and the solution gets broken down quicker – so they don’t last as long.

How long does the procedure last?

It takes around 15-20 minutes in total.

You don’t have to go all out, and you can choose the parts of your lip, or even just one lip, that needs focusing on.

Your doctor can help advise you on the amount of solution needed to suit your facial features.

Cheek Filler

Cheek Filler provides contouring of your face creating a more defined facial profile and balancing your features so to enhance its natural beauty. It also restores volume and youthfulness to the face, where hollowing can prematurely age the visage.

An important element of attractive facial beauty are cheekbones. It enhance the structure of the face, and also improves profile appearance whilst also representing youth.

Cheek filler can be injected in two ways:
1. Above the cheekbones to achieve a chiseled look
2. Into the soft tissue of the cheeks, “lifting” the area to correct an aged or sunken appearance.

Botox for Bruxism

Bruxism is the medical term for unconscious teeth clenching and grinding, either while awake or asleep, which can lead to physical painful and severe dental problems.

Chronic teeth grinding can cause headache, earaches, facial pain, and even migraines.
Hypertrophy of the masseter muscle, which may lead to the appearance of a severe square jaw, is another side effect of bruxism.

Treatments with Botulinum Toxin Type A., commonly known as Botox, can provide tremendous relief from jaw soreness, headaches, and other unpleasant problems associated with Bruxism. Botox treatments for Bruxism can also soften the appearance of the jaw line.

Chin and Jawline Filler

A strong chin is an important element of an attractive face. An ample chin can add definition, help create symmetry and bring balance to facial features.

As well as the jawline itself, the chin plays a vital role in supporting the lower face. For too long it has played the under dog and is only recently been recognised as essential for bringing balance and support to the face.

It is vital to maintain the strength of the jawline and the chin for a youthful and balanced appearance. What would be an enormous undertaking surgically is a fast and effective treatment with filler.
Fillers are used to re-sculpt the chin and lower face, restoring volume and contour to create sharper and more youthful appearance.

Hyperhydrosis

Hyperhydrosis is a medical condition where a person sweats excessively, and exceeds the normal physiological process of thermoregulation.

Botulinum toxin is an FDA approved treatment that works to stop underarm – axilla hyperhydrosis by blocking the nerve impulses that stimulate the sweat glands contract and release sweat onto the body.
Pre-treatment: it is generally a painless procedure, but we can use local anaesthetic to numb the area prior to treatment.

Tiny injections are carried out under both your underarms. It is a relatively quick and painless procedure. Effect of this procedure will take 2-3 weeks.

Duration of treatment : 30mins
Lasts 9-12 months
